Doors Closed, But Windows Were Their Opening
Pink slipped. That’s how Steve Dannenmueller’s adventure began in the home remodeling business. For 13 years he had devoted himself to pharmaceutical sales until the company was bought out. Then, life changed, fanning his entrepreneurial spirit into flame.
He worked alongside a retiring closet installer for two weeks and quickly saw the blending of his love for sales and solving customers’ problems. After that, he bought the business and has been helping homeowners for the last 25+ years.
Sharon Scheer (Head Installer)
But, the story doesn’t end there. Doors closing on dreams became a part of his sister’s story as well. Sharon was a respiratory therapist, but as the years passed, she began to lose her hearing. That changed the course of her career. Doing the job she loved just wasn’t possible anymore.
So, windows became her opening too. She joined Steve and they’ve been a brother, sister duo ever since.
Their main goal? Freshen up homes and kill the clutter. Every customer has a different need and building a plan that fits is part of the fun!

EXPERIENCE
Dannenmueller Blinds, Shutters and Closets has been helping homeowners for the last 25+ years.DIY vs. What We Do:
- Accurate measurements and proper installation. You won’t have a blind that doesn’t fully cover your window. You won’t have a closet that comes off the wall after a few months.
- We have the knowledge and expertise to look at a closet and make the right placements for accessibility. It’s not just installing a closet system, it’s establishing a flow that kills the clutter and minimizes wasted space.
Who do we work with?
- We are proud to assist families who are in the new construction phase or launching renovation projects. Though we are located in Paducah, KY, we frequently travel across western Kentucky and southern Illinois.
